The philosophy · why birthdays?
The most universal human celebration is the ultimate bridge to the past.
Most people experience history as a static subject taught from dry textbooks or academic monographs. Addae Olamina realized that the single most universal human celebration — your birthday — is the ultimate emotional bridge to the past.
"When you realize that an empire fell, a breakthrough was patented, or a revolution began on the exact day you celebrate blowing out candles, history stops feeling distant. It becomes personal."
Each episode features Addae moderating a dynamic conversation between a real birthday celebrant and esteemed historical experts. With sharp questions, quick humor, and deep respect for verifiable historical records, Addae ensures every episode is entertaining without trivializing the serious moments of our collective human story.
